বায়োগ্রাফি: John Meade Falkner wasn’t just a successful poet and novelist but also a successful businessman. Though he studied history in Marlborough College and Hertford College, Oxford and graduated in 1882, he became the chairman of Armstrong Whitworth Co, one of the biggest arms producers in the world in 1915 after Sir Andrew Noble. Falkner used to work in his service as a house tutor at the beginning and before that he was a teacher at Derby School. He was a frequent traveller and an avid antique collector. He wrote three topographical guides (Oxfordshire, Bath, and Berkshire) and a History of Oxfordshire apart from his three novels and his poetry.
