He also worked as an English broadcasting narrator, journalist, novelist, and short-story writer. his short story collection Incredible Adventures (1914) is considered as the premier weird collection of this or any century. H. P. Lovecraft regarded Blackwood as one of the "Modern Masters" in the section of that name in "Supernatural Horror in Literature. He went to Wellington College. He was awarded The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire which is a British order of chivalry, rewarding his contributions to the arts and sciences. His works include "The Centaur", "The Willows", "The Wendigo".
