বায়োগ্রাফি: Joseph Shield Nicholson was a British economist and came to fame for winning the Cambridge Cobden Club prize for his essay "The Effects of Machinery on Wages". He was born to Rev Thomas Nicholson, minister of Banbury, and his wife, Mary Anne Grant. He went to King's College, the University of Edinburgh and Cambridge.
