বায়োগ্রাফি: New York-born Herman Melville is best known for his masterpiece Moby Dick which was initially criticized. He was a novelist, short story writer, and poet during the American Renaissance. He married Elizabeth Shaw of a prominent Boston family when he attained the financial gains after the success of Typee and (1849) based on his experiences on Polynesia and its sequel Omoo (1847). Battle-Pieces and Aspects of the War (1866) was his poetic expression on the moral queries of the American Civil War.
