বায়োগ্রাফি: James Augustine Aloysius Joyce contributed to the modernist avant-garde and is regarded as one of the most influential Irish novelists, short story writer, poet, teacher, and literary critic and one of the most important authors of the 20th century. His best works are Ulysses (1922), a landmark work in which the episodes of Homer's Odyssey are similar in a variety of literary styles, the notable flow of perception. Other renowned works include the short-story collection Dubliners (1914), and novels like A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man (1916) and Finnegans Wake (1939). His other writings include three books of poetry, his published letters and occasional journalism and a play. Joyce was born in Dublin into a middle-class family. Despite the family chaos forced by his father's unpredictable finances, he was an outstanding student, he temporarily attended the Christian Brothers-run O'Connell School before performing brilliantly in the Jesuit schools Clongowes and Belvedere.
