সংক্ষিপ্ত বিবরন : It shall surprise readers that how much Verne knew about geography, zoology, history, and botany, considering the time he wrote his books. Lord and Lady Glenarvan of Scotland find a message inside a bottle in the stomach of a shark from captain Grant (of the ship Britannia) who shipwrecked. The message got almost washed off and was written in three languages and only the latitude (37 degrees) is understood; so the journey would have to revolve the 37th parallel south. The Glenarvans then contact Mary and Robert, the young children of Captain Grant, through an announcement in a newspaper. Together they embark on a voyage to bring captain Grant home on lord Glenarvan’s yacht, the Duncan and its crew, they set sail for South America, Patagonia, Tristan da Cunha Island, Amsterdam Island, and Australia. The Duncan according to the direction of quartermaster of the Britannia, Ayrton, finally reached Tabor Island, which, by sheer luck, find Captain Grant.
